The mental nursing laboratory is a clinical nursing laboratory that prepares students to carry out mental nursing care before entering the practice field. Mental nursing is a professional nursing service based on behavioral science, mental nursing science in humans throughout the life cycle with maladaptive psycho-social responses caused by bio-psycho-social disorders, using self and mental nursing therapy (therapeutic communication and mental health nursing modality therapy) through a nursing process approach to improve, prevent, maintain and restore client mental health problems (individuals, families, community groups).

The competencies studied by students in this laboratory are nursing care for raging clients, fixation, TAKS simulation, nursing care for withdrawn clients, nursing care for hallucinating clients, therapeutic communication with clients with mental disorders. To support learning, this room is equipped with TAKS sets, fixation, samples of psychopharmaceutical drugs.
