The community nursing laboratory is a clinical nursing laboratory that prepares students to carry out community, gerontic and family nursing care before entering the practice field. Community Nursing is a professional nursing service aimed at the community with an emphasis on high risk groups in an effort to achieve optimal health status through health improvement, disease prevention, maintenance of rehabilitation by ensuring the affordability of health services needed and involving clients as partners in planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing services (CHN, 1977). Gerontic Nursing. Nursing that specializes in caring for the elderly and family nursing is a field in nursing that aims to help families and their members move towards the completion of individual and family developmental tasks by assisting families in achieving and maintaining a balance between personal needs and individual family members and optimum family function.

The competencies studied in this laboratory are Education. Health in the community, MMD (Village Community Deliberation) or Mini Workshop, Implementation of Posyandu Balita and Elderly, Services at the Puskesmas, Family Nursing Care.

To support learning, this room is equipped with a 7-table Toddler Posyandu Setting, Elderly Posyandu, MMD Setting, Puskesmas Setting, Family Nursing Care Setting, various posters and health education aids for the elderly, adults, women of childbearing age and toddlers.
